Kingston Hawthorn CC is delighted to announce the signing of exciting left arm seamer from Warwickshire Jordan Bulpitt and Leicestershire Foxes opening batter Sam Evans for the 2022/23 Victorian Premier Cricket season.
Bulpitt, the Stafford-based quick, earned his List A debut courtesy of his exploits for both Walsall, and Warwickshire 2nd XI, in the Birmingham League, and County 2nd XI Championship, respectively.
Having enjoyed a first-class debut for Cambridge MCCU in April 2018, Bulpitt toiled away in the Birmingham League for Wolverhampton, then Walsall (since 2019), before his prolifc 2021 calendar year.
He took the Birmingham League by storm bagging 31 wickets in his first 9 games to earn a Warwickshire 2nd XI call-up. On debut, Bulpitt excelled taking figures of 5-49 against Lancashire which prompted first-team inclusion.
Bulpitt is eager to make a career out of cricket, and in a view to his development,
will line up with the Hawks for their Victorian Premier Cricket campaign this season.
Evans is an opening batter of some pedigree currently playing professional cricket for Leicestershire County Cricket Club in England.
A graduate of the Leicestershire pathway, Evans has been a professional for his home county since 2017, and has now played 29 first-class (County Championship) games, where he has 4 centuries amongst 1,271 runs at 27.63.
Evans has become an integral member of the Foxes’ Championship side.
Renowned for his resilient approach against the new ball in the longer format, Evans is also developing his white-ball game where he has featured in 2 List A fixtures to date.
A hard-working and charismatic individual, Evans’s professional approach to the game and its demands are second to none.
The youngster already has a significant amount of experience at the highest level and is now looking to put that into effect down under having signed with Kingston Hawthorn for their 2022/23 Victorian Premier Cricket campaign.
