St John Vianney’s – St Bedes Old Collegians Cricket Club Inc (St Johns – St Bedes C.C) was established in 1994, after the amalgamation of the two clubs.

These clubs were established in their own right in 1974 and 1961 respectively. Up until 1994, both clubs were affiliated with the Federal Districts Cricket Association in turf, matting and junior competitions. Both clubs were in the first grade turf competition, but wanted to seek future opportunities for growth and improvement, and jointly voted to move to the Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA) for the 1994-95 season.

Both clubs considered the merger as a means of forming a strong local club, and ensuring their continued existence and growth.

Since the amalgamation, the Club commenced as the new entity with its first XI playing in the South B1 division. In the following years, the Club progressed to the highest division available within the VTCA, Senior grade.

In 2003, under the new name of ‘Kingston Saints Cricket Club’, the Club was accepted into highly regarded Victorian Sub District Cricket Association (VSDCA), where it is has enjoyed continued improvement and development.

Our junior teams play in the South Eastern Cricket Association (SECA), for which more information can be found at This competition offers a safe and challenging environment for kids of all abilities to have a go and enjoy their cricket.

In 2011, the Club celebrated it’s 50th Anniversary. Former players were involved in a variety of events, including the collaborating of the Team of 50 Years.

In 2012-13, the Club’s senior group experienced another breakthrough milestone when the first XI made the VSDCA Finals for the first time.

By 2014, the Club also offered strong Milo In2Cricket! and Milo T20 Blast! programs. The Club is pleased to have very strong numbers in these programs, and sees it as a key platform for the strengthening of cricket in the City of Kingston, the southeast of Melbourne and beyond.

Our clubrooms, arguably the best in the competition, are situated at Walter Galt Reserve, on the corner of Davey and Victoria Streets, in Parkdale, Melbourne. Our training facilities are also at Walter Galt Reserve, but are accessible from Brisbane Terrace.

In 2014-15, the Club enjoyed its new top-dressed playing fields.
